Can I stay with my child while they speak with you?

Parents are welcome to join sessions for full or partial duration with their child per parent/child preference, child’s needs and counselling goals.

How long are sessions?

I offer a free initial 15 minute phone consultation to collaboratively explore client’s desired goals and our rightness of fit prior to beginning our work together. Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes long, with an additional 10-minute allowance to allow me to deal with administrative tasks related to the services you receive (for example: paperwork, payment, scheduling, etc.). 

How often are sessions?

Frequency of sessions (weekly, biweekly, etc.) is individualized and collaboratively determined by client preferences and needs.

What is the cost of a session and how can I pay?

My rate is $140 per session to be paid on the day of service. Electronic (.pdf) invoices and receipts are provided for each session & service rendered. I require clients to maintain a valid credit card in my secure PHIPA compliant practice system, but ongoing payments can be made by cash, cheque, credit card or Interac e-transfer.

Are you covered under insurance plans?

As a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and Psychotherapist, my services are unfortunately not currently covered by OHIP. However, they are often covered by private insurance plans known as Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) under the categorization of Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) or Psychotherapy services. Please refer to your insurance plan for details about your specific coverage and let me know so we can plan accordingly.

Where are you located? Is there parking?

My office address is 659 Central Ave – just east of Adelaide. You’ll see a small sign on the building as you pull up that reads “Central Wellness”. If you’re driving, there’s a small parking lot attached, so feel free to park at any of the available spaces along the fence. You can also park in the residential spots on the street.

If you’re taking the bus (Route # 16) there’s a stop right at Central and Adelaide, and my office is less than 1 block away.
